Balancing the Chakras

What is the key to overcome ADHD? For many people, ADHD make it hard to focus, complete tasks, and remember details. Moreover, it can also make them become bored or impatient more easily, hurting their success at work and in personal relationships.

How normal brain differs from ADHD brain?

Recent brain imaging studies have shown a reduction in the levels of the neurotransmitters dopamine and noradrenaline are the key reasons for the ADHD disorder.

Moreover, recent analysis of the brain imaging data shows that the brains of people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder have some “structural differences” with the normal brain.

Altered brain activity also has been observed in particular nerve circuits connecting the cortex (outer part), striatum (deeper parts), and cerebellum (back of the neck), particularly in the right brain hemisphere with a delay in cortical development seen in some children with ADHD.

Because the nerve circuits in the prefrontal brain regions, which are normally involved in attention, require high levels of dopamine and noradrenaline stimulation, reduced levels of these two neurotransmitters could potentially lead to the weakened regulation of attention and behavior observed in ADHD.

Is meditation better than medication for ADHD?

Recently, researchers, notice that cognitive therapy combined with daily practice of meditation, yoga, and other health-enhancing behaviors can be effective to overcome the difficulties of ADHD. They observed significant decrease in ADHD after 8 weeks meditation.

Patients receive medicines commonly used to bring balance in the hormones. However, the clinician gradually increases the dose until the medicine is effective and still tolerable for the patients.

Is meditation as effective as medication?

Meditation is thought to help with ADHD because it thickens your prefrontal cortex, a part of your brain that’s involved in focus, planning, and impulse control. It also raises your brain’s level of dopamine, which is in short supply in ADHD brains.

The Ray 114 Chakra System Meditation and the mindfuness meditation are the effective way to reduce stress, strain and anxiety.

Research shows that mindfulness meditation can be very helpful in relieving ADHD symptoms. One landmark UCLA study found that people with ADHD who attended a mindfulness meditation session once a week for 2 1/2 hours, then completed a daily home meditation practice that gradually increased from 5 to 15 minutes over 8 weeks, were better able to stay focused on tasks. They were also less depressed and anxious.

Researchers also observed that 20 minutes of yoga exercises, twice a week for 8 weeks improved on tests that measure attention and focus.

Final Thoughts

In summary, remember to slow down. Healthy, lifestyle change is the main area you need to focus. Accept each other’s imperfections. Look for the good in your partner, and practice compassion.
